Delivering one of the most intense and brutal aural onslaughts we have heard this year, today we have Noisebazooka and their latest full-length “Humped World”. If you ever tried to picture what somebody on bath salts would sound like when trying to make music, Noisebazooka is the first thing that comes to our mind.
Opening with a very weird sample intro, the album fully comes into full bloom with the deranged “Jaded Pleasures”. Piercing drums and hellish screams is pretty much the perfect way of describing this band. The bass guitar line is sick and twisted, adding an extra layer of weirdness to the overall insane atmosphere. The fragmentation of songs is something that we don’t really enjoy in Grindcore releases, and “Humped World” is not the exception, the band pummels through 32 tracks and delivers less than 45 minutes of music!
Going back and forth between short songs (40 or less seconds) and ‘longer’ ones, this release fetaures quite a heavy dosage of funny samples, pummeling bass licks, and crushing guitar riffs. While you can perceive some kind of sequence in things, the whole album blows up in your face as a random collection of brutality and metal problems, just exactly what we expect from a Grindcore band. With a similar vibe to Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Pig Destroyer, this band will surely destroy your speakers if played to loudly.
Closing with two cover songs, “Humped World” is one of those releases that is so intense, you even lose track of time when listening to it. The power and drive behind this release is excellent and all tracks deliver dissonance at its highest level. If you are a fan of Grindcore, but don’t like the traditional pig squeals, this is definitely a release that you want to check out

Ah… those Grindcore bands ! They never worry about us, poor radio stars… Thus, NOISEBAZOOKA, a raging duet from Austria, comprised of Almir and Samir, is on top of perversion. Check it out: a 99 tracks outlet with songs which last from two seconds to a little more than a minute !!! Aaaaargh ! It's impossible to take a single out for French commercial radio networks ! But I think they both wouldn't be interested anyway.
And now, I'm gonna list every track… Just kidding ! So, let's listen to the music. Aaaaargh again ! It's a sound flood which drills your eardrums and a drum machine running at least at 728 BPM which fries your brain cells ! As I'm writing this review, we're already on track #37, a remix of a funny musical theme from the 80s but I don't remember the title. Hey, I do listen to every song ! But I must take a break now.
A little later… I'm back and it's still raw, sharp and loud. But it's not due to ruthless riffs because there are no riffs, relating to the length of the tracks. Moreover, keyboards and samples used here often make this kind of Acid Grind sound like the wildest Techno music, with extra screams. And this hour of fury ends with a ten minutes (!) "quiet" song. Well… a subjective quietness in a cold and gloomy atmosphere, where a heady background sound slyly dissolves the remains of your brain, while a strange animal howls at the moon. This will finish you off, if you're not dead yet.
